Jean Llamas MSN, RN, CCM, ACM-RN, NCG, CDP, BCPA has 30 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting (medical surgical, oncology, cardiac and addictions), skilled home care, evaluation and set up of durable medical equipment, private duty nursing, utilization management, outpatient and inpatient care management, diabetic education and insurance case management. Jean is also the president and owner of Care Navigators, Inc. and Care Guardians, NFP, Inc. Care Navigators, Inc. provides care management to help navigate the entire healthcare system from insurance to medical advocacy. The Firm offers 24/7 access to nurses, social workers and healthcare advocates. Care Guardians, NFP, Inc. is a not for profit firm serving as the guardian of the person or estate or both. The company also serves as agents under the Power of Attorney for Healthcare and Property.
Jean received her Masters of nursing with a focus in business from Benedictine University and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Northern Illinois University. She is Milliman certified for Utilization Management. She obtained ACM-RN certification by the American Case Management Association and CCM certification by the Commission for Case Manager Certification. She is a Certified Dementia Practitioner through National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP.) She is a certified Guardian through Center for Guardianship Certification (CGC). She is a Board Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA).
Jean works with the Aging Lifecare Association (ALCA) planning committee for conferences and the grief support group. She serves on the Case Management Society of America (CMSA) board for Arizona. She serves on the National Guardianship Association board (NGA). Jean provides continuing education units (CEUs) on medical and non-medical topics throughout the United States at conferences, communities and for support groups.
