Arden Courts – Memory Care is All We Do

Arden Courts is a 100% dedicated dementia assisted living community. Our philosophy of care and residential design were carefully crafted to meet the unique needs of persons living with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Our design resembles the homes in which our residents may have resided. It promotes a friendly environment that fosters the feeling of being home with an emphasis on safety and security. Arden Courts thoroughly assesses needs and preferences to develop customized service plans. Our specially- trained staff helps with medications as well as continually monitors the health and well-being of residents. Arden Courts is committed to serving as a resource to the community, by providing family and caregiver support groups, educational seminars, training sessions, articles and brochures on Alzheimer’s and dementia related topics.

Arden Courts Memory Care Community, located on South 706 Park Blvd. just north of Butterfield Rd, next to Glenbard South in Glen Ellyn caters to the special needs of individuals with memory loss. Our community features friendly common spaces, an inviting kitchen and family rooms and walking paths within enclosed courtyards, all designed for the safety and comfort of our residents.

We recognize residents have their own individual routines and interests, capabilities and needs. We set out to accommodate their individuality beginning with an assessment by one of our professional staff members. Working with you, we develop an individualized service plan which is regularly adjusted to meet any changes in your loved one’s routine or condition.

Arden Courts’ programming concentrates on meeting residents’ unique needs, promoting their independence and individuality, and enhancing their health and spiritual well-being. We offer a wide array of programming to fulfill a variety of purposes and is appropriately timed to promote success and engagement. All programming is planned and supervised by trained professionals.

Our staff is trained and continually educated on caring for residents living with Alzheimer’s and related dementias. Arden Courts’ tailored care focuses on maintaining the health and well-being of our residents, helping them to continue to be as independent as possible. Our medical team consists of health care professionals and specialists in our community who offer support and expertise in a variety of areas to provide the best comprehensive care plan possible.

Family involvement is encouraged and welcomed whenever possible. It’s important that relationships be maintained, so families are invited to visit any time and are included in themed activities, dinners, special celebrations and, of course, family nights. Support groups and educational seminars present an opportunity for anyone faced with caring for a loved one living with dementia to share their stories and begin relationships with others who share their experience.

Residents are encouraged to make their spaces as personalized as they wish. A framed gallery is on display outside every resident’s room which can be filled with photos and memorabilia. Feel free to bring in bedding and decor to make your loved one’s room feel as comfortable as possible.
