Tucked away in a residential neighborhood in Cook County, IL, our intimate community is located on a beautifully maintained 4.5 acres—complete with multiple tree-lined walking paths, a beautiful stream, and a secure memory care courtyard.

Whether you prefer engaging in an old favorite—like resident Dolores, who brightens our community with her beautiful quilt-work—or trying something new with friends and neighbors, we are proud to offer a robust activities schedule so you can spend your days doing what you love.

At Sunrise of Flossmoor, IL, our residents enjoy a variety of culinary delights, but their favorites are definitely American classics such as hamburgers, fried chicken and catfish and chicken noodle soup!

Our Dining team knows that food is an integral part of our successful events for residents and their families. For the past year we have made recipes from the Taste of Sunrise "Recipes from the Heart" annual cookbook – a compilation of community favorites across Sunrise.

At our Resident Food Council meetings we ask our residents to share their family’s favorite recipes and our dining services coordinator adds them to the week’s menu. We understand that every person has different tastes and preferences and we can always accommodate those! For our residents that like their food spicy, we keep a bottle of their favorite hot sauce on the table for them.

We have deep roots in the surrounding Flossmoor community. Residents and families alike look forward to our weekly “Forget Me Not” snack shop, which benefits the Alzheimer’s Association. We also take weekly trips to Jewel, and enjoy outings to Homewood-Flossmoor Park District, Flossmoor Station Brewery, and Flossmoor Public Library.
