At Sunrise of Crystal Lake, you will receive care from our highly-tenured team in a warm, cheery setting. Our community is tucked away in a residential neighborhood in McHenry County, IL, and features gardens—including our residents’ bountiful vegetable garden—walking paths, a secure Reminiscence® memory care courtyard, and a gazebo for downtime, cocktails, and conversation with friends.

We offer assisted living, respite care, coordination of hospice care, and a specialized memory care neighborhood for those living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Enjoy great personal assistance and a higher level of care in a more intimate setting in our Care Suites, which includes 24/7 nursing, enhanced care, medication management and coordination of hospice care.

Though small in size with only two stories and around 70 residents,
our community is filled with a fantastic energy. You can often hear
laughter throughout the building as our “Happy Hookers” Crochet Club
(one of our most popular activities) meets to share stories and create
blankets for the local animal shelter.

This club is just one of the many ways our residents stay active and engaged in mind, body, and spirit. We offer a busy and varied activities schedule, based upon Sunrise Live With Purpose™ programming, including outings to some of Crystal Lake’s many attractions. Our “Lunch Bunch” takes weekly lunch trips to restaurants in the area; we love going to Regal Cinemas for movie matinees; we try and see any musical, play, or concert happening nearby; and we enjoy activities with local students, Girl Scouts, and Boy Scouts.
