For generations, The Scottish Home has enjoyed a rich tradition of enhancing lives and empowering seniors to live life with dignity, surrounded by compassionate people who care for and about them. When we added the Caledonian House to our campus in 2016, we extended this tradition to serve people living with Alzheimer’s disease and memory loss.

Now, another new chapter in our long, storied history is about to begin. To better reflect our expanded range of campus services, we’re launching a new name: Caledonia Senior Living & Memory Care. We believe this new, evolved brand identity captures the voices of our community, represents our core values and accurately presents our community as A Place for Everyone, Where Friends Become Family.

Nestled on 5 wooded acres, we have many beautiful gardens, a large patio, and a walking path. Inside you will find a cozy living room, three lovely dining rooms, an activity room complete with a big screen TV for weekly Wii bowling tournaments, tables for playing cards, a computer, and full kitchen for cooking activities. Our Serenity Room is a quiet space for reflection or a place to meet with our Chaplain in private. We even have a Wee Bonnie Shop where residents can purchase snacks, toiletries, and other sundries.

We have a well-appointed guest room available for overnight visitors and a private dining room where resident can entertain friends and family and share a meal together.

Caledonia blends personalized assistance, compassionate care, and encouragement so that residents can experience support, happiness, and friendship which they need and deserve. We focus on wellness and keeping residents as independent as possible by providing an individualized plan of care.

Residents and their family members can have peace of mind knowing that attentive professionals are always available to assist with daily tasks while respecting their privacy and dignity. A variety of amenities and services are provided that add value to their lives. Our residents enjoy 3 delicious meals, life enriching activities, housekeeping and laundry services, 24 hour nursing staff, and consulting medical professionals. Beauty/barber services along with scheduled transportation are also available for an additional charge.

When an individual requires more care than assisted living, nursing care is available to meet those increasing needs. Each resident receives a tailored program provided by our attentive and compassionate team of healthcare professionals; registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, consulting medical specialists, and other support staff. We recognize that quality of care leads to quality of life. Families will have the comfort of knowing their loved one will receive the specialized care and attention they need in a comfortable and stimulating environment.
