Arden Courts – Memory Care is All We Do
For over 25 years, Arden Courts has been dedicated to caring for residents living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Our philosophy of care and residential design were carefully crafted to meet the unique needs of our ever growing population. Our highly skilled team is designed to assist residents with varying levels of care needs. We provide a home-like, safe and supportive environment that nurtures the individuality of each resident and gives their families the peace of mind they deserve. Locations in Elk Grove Village, Northbrook, Geneva, Glen Ellyn, Palos Heights and South Holland.
Arden Courts Memory Care Community, located on E 170th St in S Holland caters to the special needs of individuals with memory loss. Our community features friendly common spaces, an inviting kitchen and family rooms and walking paths within enclosed courtyards, all designed for the safety and comfort of our residents.
We recognize residents have their own individual routines and interests, capabilities and needs. We set out to accommodate their individuality beginning with an assessment by one of our professional staff members. Working with you, we develop an individualized service plan which is regularly adjusted to meet any changes in your loved one’s routine or condition.
Our staff is trained and continually educated on caring for residents living with Alzheimer’s and related dementias. Arden Courts’ tailored care focuses on maintaining the health and well-being of our residents, helping them to continue to be as independent as possible. Our medical team consists of health care professionals and specialists in our community who offer support and expertise in a variety of areas to provide the best comprehensive care plan possible.
Family involvement is encouraged and welcomed whenever possible. It’s important that relationships be maintained, so families are invited to visit any time and are included in themed activities, dinners, special celebrations and, of course, family nights. Support groups and educational seminars present an opportunity for anyone faced with caring for a loved one living with dementia to share their stories and begin relationships with others who share their experience.
Our campus includes four self-contained “houses” with community and outdoor living spaces allowing residents to move about in an environment designed to keep them safe. Each house has its own living room, dining room, kitchen, full bath and laundry. Common areas shared by the houses include an activity and craft studio, barber and beauty salon, wellness center, secured backyard with a porch and expansive landscaped walking paths.
Each of the four houses has private bedrooms, each with a half-bath. A few bedrooms are shared. Feel free to furnish your room with personal belongings or use furnishings we provide: a bed, nightstand, dresser, lamp, chair window treatments and linens. Residents are encouraged to make their spaces as personalized as they wish. A framed gallery is on display outside every resident’s room which can be filled with photos and memorabilia. All utilities are included with the exception of phone and cable television.
