Silverado Senior Living - Turtle Creek

Alzheimer's Care
A lively atmosphere filled with residents enjoying hobbies or delighting in each other’s company, Silverado Turtle Creek exemplifies our goal of providing a memory care environment where residents retain a sense of independence and dignity while they continue enjoying the things that have always been important to them. From the smell of fresh-baked cookies in the bistro to joyful sounds of children playing in our outdoor playground, Silverado Turtle Creek is a warm and welcoming place where quality of life matters above all else.

Whether a resident is in the early stages of memory impairment or needs an advanced level of dementia care, our highly-trained staff understands the changing symptoms of memory loss and the impact these can have. Dignity and comfort are key, and we attend to each resident based on their unique condition. This attention to staff and care helps Silverado provide far more than assisted living, giving the highest quality of life possible to those with memory conditions.

Activities, Amenities and Features

•Nestled among tall, shady trees in a quiet neighborhood close to the heart of Dallas. Picturesque surroundings provide peace and comfort while preventing a feeling of confinement that can hamper residents' level of engagement.

•Family involvement is encouraged, so we don’t have visiting hours or charge visiting family for meals shared with their loved one.

•Secure walking paths, a gazebo and a courtyard with a fountain provide a wonderful place to walk, relax and get fresh air. Our secure, enclosed outdoor areas encourage residents to be mobile and maintain strength and balance. This helps foster a sense of independence and freedom while maintaining safety.

•A variety of engaging activities and clubs for residents to participate in, including a culinary club and relaxing walks through the neighborhood. Programs are designed with residents’ abilities, interests and histories in mind. The goal of all programs is to have fun, prevent boredom, boost confidence, develop friendships and provide opportunities for new experiences.

•Community is made up of “neighborhoods” catering to residents’ senior living needs, abilities and interests. Care and programs are tailored to meet the specific functional level of each individual resident. Programs within each neighborhood challenge each person appropriately without being too simple or frustratingly difficult.

•Bistro serves restaurant-quality meals - open and interactive layout helps stimulate residents. Nutritious fare that looks appetizing and tastes delicious keeps residents healthy and can serve as a source of enjoyment.

•Numerous outings to the many fun and interesting locations nearby, including Dallas Arboretum, museums and local theatres.

•Shopping trips to many of the unique shops in the area, such as the chocolate & wine shop and the pastry & coffee shop.

•Community dog and cats to establish a sense of companionship and normalcy. Residents may be able to move into the community with their beloved pets, provided the pet fits in with others in the environment. Community animals provide affection while giving residents the opportunity to maintain dignity and self-esteem by helping provide care to animals (if they wish).

•Playground encourages family members to bring children for visits while providing residents a wonderful focal point to enjoy their youthful energy.

•Regular outdoor activities including barbecues, gardening, time with family, children and pets, etc.
